Update (12/29/21): 1 Death and 23 Additional Clinton County Residents Tested Positive For COVID-19 As Reported By The ISDH

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced today, Wednesday, December 29, 2021, Clinton County had 1 death related to COVID-19 while 23 additional residents tested positive for COVID-19, 6,923 residents in total have tested positives for COVID-19. There are now 85 deaths related to COVID-19 in Clinton County. At least 107,549 total tests have been administered to residents of Clinton County, of which 24,989 have been unique tests as reported by the ISDH.

The rolling 7-day positivity rate of unique individuals for Clinton County is 35.6% as of December 21, 2021. The State of Indiana as a whole is 24.4%.

The rolling 7-day positivity rate of all tests for Clinton County is 16.1% as of December 21, 2021. The State of Indiana as a whole is 14.3%.

The weekly ISDH County Metrics score released today showed Clinton County with a score of 3.0 an advisory color of Red. Clinton County’s official advisory level is Red.

Clinton County had 586 new cases per 100,000 residents – a score of 3 – and a 7-day positivity rate of 15.78% – a score of 3. The ISDH utilized the results of 12/27/2021, 11:59 p.m. for the purpose of calculating the weekly County Metrics.

The ISDH shows a total of 14,615 Clinton County residents have received the first of a two-dose vaccination (an increase of 16 over the previous report) and 14,543 are fully vaccinated (an increase of 211,103,487 over the previous report) with 1,108 Clinton County residents receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, a single-dose vaccine. Additionally, 5,019 Booster doses have been administered. Statewide, 3,617,866 Hoosiers have received the first of a two-dose vaccination series, 3,549,956 are fully vaccinated with 272,452 from the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and 1,342,036 Booster doses have been administered as of 12/29/2021 at 5:00 a.m.

Additionally, the ISDH announced that 7,967 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and private laboratories. That brings to 1,234,919 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s total.

To date, 4,735,792 unique tests have been administrated on Hoosiers and reported to ISDH, up from 4,728,751 on Tuesday.

The Regenstrief Institute updated hospitalization data as of December 27, 2021, at 7:12 a.m. for Clinton County. Data are unique individuals and cumulative. As of October 27, 2021, Regenstrief Institute will update dashboard data on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (instead of Monday through Friday).
