Commissioners Say ‘No’ to the Rezoning of Land for Data Center

CLINTON COUNTY, Ind. (January 20, 2026) – The Clinton County Commissioners voted unanimously to deny the rezoning of 714.55 acres for a data center during Tuesday’s Commissioners meeting.

The vote took place after Liz Stitzel, director of the Area Plan Commission, provided the Commissioners with the ‘favorable’ recommendation from the January 6 Area Plan Commission.
Commissioners said the reason for rejecting the application was centered around the negative impact to area property owners and the lack of negotiation of the 14 commitments from the petitioner, Logix Reality LLC.

Today’s vote by the Commissioners places a hold on the petitioner coming back to the county for reconsideration for 12 months.

The City of Frankfort Board of Zoning Appeals has previously provided a variance on land east of Conagra to Logix Reality LLC for the purpose of developing a data center on April 23, 2025.

There is currently no information from the City of Frankfort on what may be developed on the land that resides within the city limits.
