Update (10/24/20): 23 New Clinton County Residents Tested Positive For COVID-19 As Reported By The ISDH

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind – The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced today, Saturday, October 24, 2020, Clinton County had 23 new residents test positive for COVID-19, 889 residents in total have tested positive for COVID-19. There are 16 deaths related to COVID-19 in Clinton County. At least 9,903 unique tests have been administrated to residents of Clinton County as reported by the ISDH.

The rolling 7-day positivity rate of unique individuals for Clinton County is 9.8% as of October 17, 2020. The State of Indiana as a whole is 13.1%.

Additionally, the ISDH announced that 2,765 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories. That brings to 160,454 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s total.

A total of 3,882 Hoosiers have died to date. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH and occurred over multiple days.

To date, 1,618,331 unique tests have been administrated on Hoosiers and reported to ISDH, up from 1,605,596 on Friday.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind – The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced today, Friday, October 23, 2020, Clinton County had 20 new residents test positive for COVID-19, 867 residents in total have tested positive for COVID-19. There are 16 deaths related to COVID-19 in Clinton County. At least 9,835 unique tests have been administrated to residents of Clinton County as reported by the ISDH.

The rolling 7-day positivity rate of unique individuals for Clinton County is 11.1% as of October 16, 2020. The State of Indiana as a whole is 13.0%.

Additionally, the ISDH announced that 2,519 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories. That brings to 157,713 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s total.

A total of 3,858 Hoosiers have died to date. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH and occurred over multiple days.

To date, 1,605,596 unique tests have been administrated on Hoosiers and reported to ISDH, up from 1,594,365 on Thursday.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind – The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced today, Thursday, October 22, 2020, Clinton County had 18 new residents test positive for COVID-19, 847 residents in total have tested positive for COVID-19. There are 16 deaths related to COVID-19 in Clinton County. At least 9,772 unique tests have been administrated to residents of Clinton County as reported by the ISDH.

The rolling 7-day positivity rate of unique individuals for Clinton County is 10.5% as of October 15, 2020. The State of Indiana as a whole is 12.9%.

Additionally, the ISDH announced that 2,880 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories. Zip Code 46041 Identified as a COVID-19 Hotspot

FRANKFORT – A zip code within Clinton County has been identified as a COVID-19 hotspot, specifically zip code 46041.

Using data from the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH), Micah Pollak, Associate Professor of Economics at Indiana University Northwest, published a statewide map on Tuesday showing the average weekly new COVID-19 cases over a 4-week period by zip code in Indiana. Professor Pollak was assisted in this project by Susan Batt, 13 Investigates & Special Projects Producer at WTHR.

The method of determining a numerical value by zip code looked at the average new weekly cases over a 4-week period, from September 20th through October 18th. Then zip code population data available from 2018 population tables published by the U.S. Census Bureau was used to allow each zip code to be analyzed evenly. A statistical method used commonly known as occurrences in 100,000. In this instance, the weekly average of new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people.

The result was the grouping of results across 6 bands, 0-60, 60-80, 80-100, 100-120, 120-140, and 140+. Clinton County zip code 46041 feel within the 140+ band. Other Clinton County zip codes appearing in grouping bands included zip codes 46058 and 46065 in the 80-100 band and zip code 46050 in the 0-60 band.

The death is reported to have taken place on Saturday, October 17, 2020.

The Clinton County Health Department currently has two (2) testing sites operating at the fairgrounds; Optum and the ISDH Community Test Site both inside the Edward Jones Building at the Clinton County Fairgrounds located at 1701 S Jackson St, Frankfort, IN.

Optum runs from 8 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday (not open on holidays) and the ISDH Community Test Site runs from 12 noon to 6 pm Monday through Friday.

The Optum testing site breaks for lunch from 12 noon to 12:30 pm each day with an afternoon break from 3 pm to 3:30m. There are NO appts scheduled for Optum during 12-12:30 or 3-3:30 pm for this site and no walk-ins taken during those break times.
