Update (11/5/20): 17th Death of a Clinton County Resident Related to COVID-19, 47 New Clinton County Residents Tested Positive For COVID-19 As Reported By The ISDH

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced today, Thursday, November 5, 2020, Clinton County had 1 new death related to COVID-19, and 47 new residents test positive for COVID-19, 1,175 residents in total have tested positive for COVID-19. There are 17 deaths related to COVID-19 in Clinton County. At least 10,830 unique tests have been administrated to residents of Clinton County as reported by the ISDH.

The death is reported to have taken place on Tuesday, November 3.

The rolling 7-day positivity rate of unique individuals for Clinton County is 16.2% as of October 29, 2020. The State of Indiana as a whole is 17.1%.

Additionally, the ISDH announced that 4,462 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and private laboratories. That brings to 191,746 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s total.

A total of 4,269 Hoosiers have died to date. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH and occurred over multiple days.

To date, 1,761,947 unique tests have been administrated on Hoosiers and reported to ISDH, up from 1,748,496 on Wednesday.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind – The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced today, Wednesday, November 4, 2020, Clinton County had 27 new residents test positive for COVID-19, 1,128 residents in total have tested positive for COVID-19. There are 16 deaths related to COVID-19 in Clinton County. At least 10,724 unique tests have been administrated to residents of Clinton County as reported by the ISDH.

The rolling 7-day positivity rate of unique individuals for Clinton County is 16.3% as of October 28, 2020. The State of Indiana as a whole is 16.7%.

Additionally, the ISDH announced that 3,756 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories. That brings to 191,746 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s total.

A total of 4,224 Hoosiers have died to date. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH and occurred over multiple days.

To date, 1,748,496 unique tests have been administrated on Hoosiers and reported to ISDH, up from 1,733,575 on Tuesday.

There are 16 deaths related to COVID-19 in Clinton County. At least 10,568 unique tests have been administrated to residents of Clinton County as reported by the ISDH.

The rolling 7-day positivity rate of unique individuals for Clinton County is 14.9% as of October 27, 2020. The State of Indiana as a whole is 16.2%.

Additionally, the ISDH announced that 2,951 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories. That brings to 185,185 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s total.

There are 16 deaths related to COVID-19 in Clinton County. At least 10,529 unique tests have been administrated to residents of Clinton County as reported by the ISDH.

The rolling 7-day positivity rate of unique individuals for Clinton County is 13.2% as of October 26, 2020. The State of Indiana as a whole is 15.9%.

Additionally, the ISDH announced that 3,080 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories. City of Frankfort’s New Leaf Machine Raises Awareness For Alzheimer’s Disease and Breast Cancer

FRANKFORT, Ind – The City of Frankfort is using its new leaf machine to raise awareness for Breast Cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. Jason Forsythe, Frankfort Street Department Superintendent, proposed the idea of applying a vinyl wrap to each side – one done in purple for Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness and the other in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness. Each of the wraps was made available by a generous donation by the Center Township of Clinton County office.

“My family has been impacted by both breast cancer and Alzheimer’s,” said Forsythe. “These are terrible diseases that are hard for a lot of families. My hope is that the messages on our leaf machine will remind people that our community supports everyone who is struggling and we are all hoping for a cure.”

Leaf collection in the City takes place annually in the months of October and November. Each of those months happens to coincide with the causes being championed for higher awareness – National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is in October and November is recognized as National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month.

Frankfort Mayor Judy Sheets supports the idea of utilizing City assets to take positive messages to the many neighborhoods. “We hope this leaf machine will bring a positive message to the community in a time when we all need encouragement,” said Mayor Sheets. “This year has been challenging in many ways. It has been exceptionally challenging for people who are faced with the added difficulty of illnesses such as breast cancer or Alzheimer’s disease.”

The National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. estimates that 30% of all women cancer diagnoses in 2020 will be breast cancer and report that 1 in 8 women in The United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer. According to the Alzheimer’s Association, more than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease and Alzheimer’s is the 6th leading cause of death in The United States.

Zip Code 46041 Continues to be COVID-19 Hotspot

FRANKFORT, Ind – The zip code 46041 within Clinton County continues to be a COVID-19 hotspot according to a revised statewide map published Tuesday, October 27th.

Using data from the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH), Micah Pollak, Associate Professor of Economics at Indiana University Northwest, published a revised statewide map on Tuesday showing the average weekly new COVID-19 cases over a 4-week period by zip code in Indiana. Professor Pollak was assisted in this project by Susan Batt, 13 Investigates & Special Projects Producer at WTHR.

The method of determining a numerical value by zip code looked at the average new weekly cases over a 4-week period, from September 27th through October 25th. Then zip code population data available from 2018 population tables published by the U.S. Census Bureau was used to allow each zip code to be analyzed evenly. Today, October 28, the ISDH reported an additional 17 Clinton County residents had tested positive bringing the total count to 952 since the beginning of the pandemic.
